Batman Adam West Honored with the Bat Signal Over L.A.

Last night, the city of Los Angeles honored beloved Batman actor, Adam West, by shining the bat signal onto the city hall building made famous by TV’s Dragnet.

Thousands gathered in Grand Park dressed as their favorite characters from the Batman ’66 TV show. While most fans were pleased with the city’s effort to honor their favorite Batman, numerous postings on social media indicated they would’ve preferred the bat signal to be shone against the sky. However, logistics dictated a sanctioned locale was needed for crowd management and cloud cover would determine whether the signal would even be seen.

Adam West’s family members, the mayor and chief of police were joined by none other than boy wonder Burt Ward who played Robin on the show, as well as Catwoman actress from the movie Batman, LEE Merriwether, and executives from Detective Comics (DC).
