Car Wars: The Torque Awakens at CAS16 with Chewbacca and R2D2

The Ford display has the most going for it this year, with the new GT in white, the GT350R in black and the Focus RS. But it also has a Mustang you can “drive” down the quarter mile, a Mustang pinball machine, a giant Ford GT simulator which seats three and takes you 12 feet off the ground, and this talking robot, which made R2 feel right at home.

As the motoring press descended upon Chicago for Media Preview Day, Chew-bro-cca and his remote control inflatable sidekick launched Car Wars, our in-depth review of the new 2017 models. Little did we suspect that, as Chewy and his pilot checked out the hottest cars’ and trucks’ leg room and storage capacities, the rest of the World was checking out our intrepid reporters!

In case you need proof, this Jeep model could’ve spent all day with us. Never mind that’s not really our hair!

At the end of the day, the most coveted money shot was a pose with the elusive celebrity sci-fi characters. Suffice it to say, big beards are IN with the Booth Babes this year. Spokesmodels, journalists, and manufacturer reps alike went clamoring for selfies and promotional shots with our men in fur and metal, and the viral footage is now hitting the Interwebs.
