Cubs Win World Series… Hell Reports Blizzard-like Conditions

The devil went down to Georgia today. He was looking for some coal to steal. He was in a bind and didn’t have much time because Hell froze over just before midnight last night and his minions need heat.

Speaking of feeling the heat, members of the Cleveland Indians ball club certainly are today, because–that’s right, sports fans!–the Chicago Cubs won the World Series. 

After a 108-year drought, a wave of winning excitement washed over the city of Chicago well into the wee hours last night.

From Wicker Park to Wrigleyville, Logan Square to Lincoln Park and all points in between, fans celebrated the only way they knew how: dancing, drinking, screaming and singing.

A citywide celebration starts at noon tomorrow with a parade from Wrigley Field to Grant Park.
