Gary Coleman, a Tribute

Gary freakin’ Coleman. Wow. There was a hot minute where all anyone could talk about was this guy. How cute he was, how funny he was, how smart he was or how lucky he was when he survived major surgery as a child. Even though he was best known for his role on Diff’rent Strokes, that wasn’t his only star vehicle. Anybody else here remember The Kid With the 200 IQ? Anyway, then that Webster kid showed up and all of America realized two things: a) this kid’s cute too and b) it was all a ratings gimmick. But Emmanuelle Lewis never quite cut it like Gary. Gary had timing. He was expressive, and animated, but likably so. A Broham salute to Mr. Coleman.
